Didn’t the early m49’s originally have friction bonded drive plates and adjustable springs with self locking nuts also a ball race thrust instead of the needle roller.
I find the all steel clutch pretty good not that I use it very much Only to put it into gear usually

The Bing for my 183 has the same as Greg’s 199a manual specs
The needle is marked 6G1

brake is on the proper side
R for 238 ? B for bastidor so I'd guess M198 so frame number RB198etc

Looks like a 198/9 grommets for the sidecovers longer rear loop but looks like 198/9A style swingarm
