Don, the JC model has the same wheels as all of the 175s and some of the 250s. I think you have a typo with 410.5 wear limit as...

Re: Kawasaki KT250 clutch springs shooting match

Hi Everyone, Nice work Roger, I think that might be a JC model? Hi Everyone, Whatever you do, don't anyone tell Greg Harding about this because he and I have a competition going for whose KT has the lightest clutch pull and I don't want to give any secrets away    NOT LOOKING DA...

Re: how to move a KT250 when the wheels don't turn

Hi Everyone, There are witness marks on the driveway that explain how the KT was moved (sideways) David, nice :kawasaki , love the patina! Perhaps you need some office chair bike stands? Move in any direction, swivel, up and down! 1539675743350.jpg Bikestand on a hand trolley was how I moved this :B...

Square Montesa Forks

Hi Everyone, Another thought on a wet Saturday. I figure there is a logical reason you didn't use the whole 242 front end. So far all I have thought of are: Maybe the 242 fork tubes were not usable. Maybe the 242 fork tubes or triples hit the 172 fuel tank. David, it is very Wet in Coffs Harbour as ...

Montesa 172 fork oil capacities

Hi Everyone, I wonder why they used 31.7mm (1 1/4") fork tubes? They may well have sourced the steel for the tubes from the UK, but why? David, I am not sure but maybe in 1976 and economical problems it was cheaper to buy imperial chrome tube/bar stock? Very nice Greg. How is the action on thos...
