Re: COFFS HARBOUR Old bike and rider days

Hi Everyone, Here is ..........Um.........Ah...........Damn, I have forgotten his name and I was on a roll! Maybe I should ask them to put their name on their bike? Anyway it looks like a :Honda: :Honda: :Honda: :Honda: :Honda: :Honda: 1579428545570.jpg 1579428522429.jpg 1579428491752.jpg 1579428459...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone, Well there is something weird there but I'm only guessing what it is. In the photo with the front wheel on the left side of the photo, there is something on the grass under the little end of the conrod and maybe partly under the front tyre that doesn't look like part of a TY. My guesses...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone, ....... I'm yet to find a way to remove the remaining chrome plating so I can make them look nice. Here are photos of what I'm on about. David, just thinking outside the box, can the chrome plating process be reversed? What I mean is if it is a positive charged consumable transferred to...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone, So it seems that my photos have been blown up and heavily scrutinised, sorry for the frustration, it is quite simple when you know! Here are the photos again to save you flicking back: 1576525508301.jpg Also, I thought I should clarify with the edit in red. Just to make it more interest...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone, So now I am curious as to how they chrome the aluminum hub, is it the same process as Nikasil liners in cylinders? Before "Nikasil" and "Electrofusion" cylinder bore coatings became the norm in the 1980s, the really high-tech two strokes ( :yamaha YZs and TZs) had ch...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi Everyone, Excellent trading Greg. Seeing that intact AG100 brings back fond memories. So its a Bultaco front wheel that someone has gone to the trouble of balancing. Bultaco started using unplated steel spokes in 1977/78. The hub looks like 1974 to 1978 Bultaco Alpina or Frontera. The rim has a y...

Re: COFFS HARBOUR Old bike and rider days

Hi Everyone, Just sharing how I am going with my memory skills, now what was I saying? Anyway, here is Brayden (straight from picking Garlic) riding the tried and tested :suzuki . He must have been sick of the sight of the garlic as our patch didn't seem to distract him: 1574587175621.jpg 1574587146...

YAMAHA TY 80 For sale or swap maybe?

Hi Everyone, Nice to have you down here Greg. Not only sharing bikes but sharing lines on Section 4 Day 2..... Most important part of the section was avoiding the rock spire with your left hand while riding the final rock. Nice photos Kurt! Is that where you broke your lever? My second attempt on th...
