Re: brisbane trials noob

The guys in the vid I posted are those that organize Erzberg. One, Erich Brandauer is an ex Austrian trials champ who did the world championship in the nineties. In spite of his, err, robust build, he's pretty handy on a bike.

Re: Trial's in Mainland China?

Just seen this thread.

Paul, a while ago a little birdie told me that Thierry Michaud had been seen in China after doing a recce there for a possible world round. Perhaps he would be the guy to speak to?

Re: Cut out lanyards for trials bikes

It's a simple, sensible and cheap safety option and I'm happy to go with it. It took me a while before I saw the light regarding sprocket covers (see topic on TC) but I have since had an epiphany. I had thought that a system similar to that used on the Cota 4RT, an accelerometer that cuts out the mo...

Shameless plug

Recently I've been in the fortunate/unfortunate (don't ask) position to spend a bit of money on stuff that I've been coveting for a long while so I'd really like to say what great service I've had from Don Murray at motocentral and Paul Arnott at theHellteam. Pleasure dealing with you guys and kudos.

Re: Shirts Out, Why?

'cause it's going to become "untucked in" anyway so why spend the time and effort tucking it in?

Practice around Brisbane

I've ridden in South Africa and NZ and have just got my bike and looking to go for a practice somewhere around Brisbane. Problem is I don't have transport for the bike yet.

I'm down in Springfield lakes so if anybody van help me out (I'll pay petrol/beer costs) it would be much appreciated.

Re: why is there a rule against changing bike during an even

What Geoff said. Trials is, traditionally, a test of motorcyle reliability. I also agree that it is now mostly redundant.

I assume that if an arrangement can be made with the C-o-C there shouldn't be a problem. As a fellow competitor I wouldn't object.

Mailed the vendor and the airbox is missing. I also mailed Yoyi San Martin at todotrial and, apparently, the airboxes are impossible to find.

Caveat emptor
