Re: Yamaha TY250C Frame Colour

Keen eyed observers will notice that not all front brake backing plates on TY175/250 twinshocks are the same. Another TY front brake plate (not shown) has a hole with a rubber plug in it to allow brake shoe thickness inspection without taking the wheel off the bike

Re: Yamaha TY250C Frame Colour

The wheel hubs on TY twinshocks are originally the same colour as the frame. This photo shows an original brake plate on the left end and also a hub and brake plate that I have repainted at some stage using rattle can silver grey and a clear top coat. TY250 dished rear sprocket

Dished aluminium alloy rear sprockets for 428 chain are now available for the TY250 twinshock. There are a few sizes available. I bought a couple of standard size (53T) from PBI sprockets and they arrived today. Here is one beside an original TY250 sprocket. There have been dished sprockets for 520 ...

Re: 2019 NSW Twin Shock Championships

Hey Dave did you notice the pics in the advert, they're both TLR's. =D> Hey you know that I don't even look at :Honda: so of course I didn't notice. However, now you've brought my attention to it I'm wondering who did the graphics so I know who to pay out on when I venture way down there into :NSW:

Re: TY250D carby issues

Have you set the idle mixture screw and set the throttle slide stop position? Usually about 1.5 turns out from fully in for the screw and turn the slide stop screw inwards (lifts the slide) until it idles. If there is still some junk in the pilot circuit, you will still have a problem at low throttl...
