Re: Suzuki RL250 Mania

If you scroll down on eBay you can select "worldwide" for the search and the american stuff should show up. Good to know you've jumped on the fb group and found the Beamish Owners club - they have a lot of stuff. I'm trying to make friends with a 3D printing expert to see if some of this s...

Re: Suzuki RL250 Mania

I hope the RL riders out there are having fun. The guard moulds are available for I don't need them any more. I have some more parts for sale in Facebook marketplace and gumtree. Westy - you should join up with the RL250 Exacta Owners Facebook page that I admin - I'm sure someone on there would be ...

RL250 Lighting Kit

Hi chaps, Just wondering if anyone here has information on the RL250 lighting kit - detailed photos, other models that share the parts etc. Most of them probably got removed and lost over the years, although I have seen a few pop up for sale in OZ with the full kit. Incidentally, I run a facebook pa...

Re: My Classics

Yikes! Hope you were using an extra fuel filter!

Just yesterday I spent the afternoon putting a sealer kit through my rusty old RL250 tank...now I'm thinking perhaps I should have just had it restored!

How long ago was yours sealed? Wonder how long mine will last...

Re: Scrutineering guidelines?

Thanks gentlemen for the advice and to PA for putting me in touch with Rob.

Happy to report that aside from the Lanyard kill switch, rear sprocket guard and end caps for the handlebars, she's good to go!

Cheers,
Tom

Re: Scrutineering guidelines?

I'm in Prospect and that would be awesome - I need to get my membership form in so I can attend the training day in April!

Thanks!

Scrutineering guidelines?

Hi guys, I'm aiming to get into twinshock trials here in SA with my old RL250. I was wondering if there are guidelines online anywhere for what will and won't pass scrutineering? My bike has a few "bush mechanic" fixes and I'm wondering if it would get through as it sits. My main concern i...

Re: RL250 switch to 520 chain

I used a butane torch to heat it, not sure if boiling water would be enough.

Interestingly, I used the same material to make a block for the chain tensioner - has held up really well so far.

The cutting boards can be had from Kmart - $4 for a pack of 3 from memory.

Re: RL250 airbox

Three un-cracked frames out of 7 isn't bad! The one with the KT front & rear sounds interesting... Sounds like a few of them were very well used! Just imagine all the RL250 lighting kits that were taken off new bikes and put in boxes, only to be forgotten about or thrown out... Very tidy RL250 o...

Re: RL250 airbox

I bought 7 RL-250 Suzuki's in a package deal and only three of them had air boxe's. My heart stopped a little when I read this...now THAT is a package deal! Got photos of them all together? Would love to see that many RL's in one place! Were they all ex-competition bikes? How many of them had crack...
