Re: Places to trials ride for practice in SA???

Is this the Mark enduro rider?
I and Juventus club have access to several properties most 99% of the year for rides here and there. Happy for a chat or let you know when we're out next.
This time of year I mainly ride on grassy ovals in townships around the place...

Knees...

Hyper-extension (by the way you will not break an ACL under hyper flexion...) now you've asked for detail... You have a point there on hyper-extension, however a pure hyper-extension break I think you'll find is very very rare despite 2 being above. Also you've called it hyper whatever but you're de...

Knees...

Have read all your comments above and, well, I think I'm a little qualified to give a side to this topic... I used to race enduro's, at 19yrs old clean complete break of my ACL without coming off the bike at low speed checking a track marking prior to a competition. I tried all the knee braces of th...

Number plates

Not sure if anyone can remember now but I had on my townace van and bravo (the one with a box humping the back of it...) and still have the

Looking forward to putting it back on a car later this year when I return!

Addingham

I would just like to re-inforce this issue with any onlookers. This hopefully temporary loss has and will affect any trials rider planning to come to the UK. This is no 'street' petition, take a scroll down the names list. Theres about 20 that could win an Aussie title... It's only a point and click...

Best way to get to the bottom of a topic is to keep it focussed and not bring in entry fees to offset liscence fees etc, other wise us in england we'll be justifying why we should be paying higher entry fees with several different properties being ridden in one day, often 1-3 large laps, 10 to 40 mi...

liscence

This topic has been out and about for years. I have mentioned this with particular MA delegates and not sure if further research is being done but this is the score in the UK: Trials liscence lets you ride any UK trial (not FIM). Cost doubled a couple of years ago, is now 10 (ten) pounds. It does st...

Think quicker...

Jamie, I'm all for time limits and following the FIM rule as practical. I think the comments regarding danger of section etc are way off. Australia had the pleasure of a visit from some Uk lads recently. I'm sure they could travel a fair way in 90 secs when required? On danger if the 'rules' are mad...

I had several scorpa's around 96-98 and one of them did what you're describing, ran fine but if you stalled it that was it, very difficult to start. we found it to be the low speed coil in ignition, fair while ago so forgot details but follow that line, electrics are buggars! you in uk - the bikes t...

Re: Trials boots

Dear Niffty It sounds like you are on the right track for enjoying trials bike riding more by using purpose made trials boots. I am still using my first pair of trials boots which are 1996 Gaerne. They are still going strong generally but need to have the sole reglued by a bootmaker approx annually...
