Re: Betor Shock Rebuilds

I think I have got them to a reasonable quality, less oil more air pressure, 30ml 10W oil 50PSI air, screwed the preload up so under the weight of the bike (TY175) they sag about 10mm, my theory is that I only just have enough spring tension combined with air pressure to return the shock to its full...

Re: Betor Shock Rebuilds

I use 360mm on my TY250 as well, the steel body (black) Betors have a c-clip that can adjust the preload of the spring, currently they are on the second clip groove from the bottom but I will properly run it in the furthest clip groove. They feel good though.

Betor Shock Rebuilds

Does anyone know what oil quantity and pressure to run in Betor shocks? I have just rebuilt with new rod seals, and have tried 50ml oil and 40PSI but have to much "race sag" I was unable to measure how much oil and pressure from STD as it all leaked out. Any help appreciated. Shocks are fo...

TY80 Carby

I am after a carby to suit my TY80, TK (Teikei) V16P-3 16mm. Does anyone know of a 16mm carb that could be used in place of a TK (alternative brand) I've had a few searches but can't come up with anything. I am also after an air cleaner housing. Any help with used ones for sale much appreciated.

Re: Basket Cases

Sadly not David, but it does look cross between a TY250R mono and a SWM320,I do love the lines of this machine, sorry not to affend Reinald by including a TY in the same senntance as a SWL.

Re: Basket Cases

I think you might be close David. I would have loved to say Air Cooled Mono! but the rear guard didn't seem to have enough clearance, the tank looks close though.
