Re: Basket Cases

I can understand that Greg is saying a :Bultaco: is about as motivating as a dead fox, and is perhaps equivalent to a pile of scrap metal, but I'm curious about the significance of the carton of eggs. Are they for throwing at Bultacos?

Re: Ossa

My memory could easily be wrong, and I can't find it on the internet yet, but I have an idea somewhere in the back of my mind that I saw pictures a long long time ago of Mick Andrews on an orange looking OSSA in the SSDT in about 1970 (pre-dating the MARs). At this stage I'm reluctant to say that it...

I'll probably make a fool of myself for trying to answer this so I'll start off with this disclaimer. My bike is locked in a shed 20 minutes drive from here, so I can't just look at it, and I'm not going to cheat by looking up images or specifications on the internet. I'm also very aware that not ev...

Re: Extra home workshop time

You can also use 5 beer cans to spread the beads. The sixth can is to be drunk after successfully installing the 5 cans in the tyre. You get to have the five beers when you are install the tyre. No. Put the tube in the tyre, and the six beers in the fridge. Then you can install the tyre when you wa...

Re: Basket Cases

Would've been a lot easier to do it in Photoshop. (Or maybe you did!) Jools, Greg is resourceful, imaginative, tricky, and a man of many talents. He doesn't need to resort to photoshop to play with us. Greg, I don't have a light in my shed, but now that you've shed some light I have to say t...

Re: Basket Cases

Of course, not everyone got their pride and joy as a basket of bits, and notwithstanding the fact that I'm sure there are those that think the owner of mine is a basket case, may I also suggest that for those who didn't get theirs as a basket case, then perhaps: "Something old (obviously), with...

Re: Spoke Stress

......So now for an update: .........Here is the final result of my mission and yes I have learnt Something! ...... The picture explains so much - you have long spokes, medium spokes, short spokes, are there any two spokes the same size? Could you have possibly found a less easy project? Greg, it i...
