Monty Mechanic Needed

Hi All, Long time no see, been a bit busy over the last decade!!! looking for someone not too far from Geelong to pull down the wife's 83 348 trail and do new main bearings (buy the whirring sound with clutch in or out I think that's the problem). Bike has done less than 2000km from new and won't ne...

Re: Planning changes for Victoria

Sorry for the delay in the follow up but a couple of days in hospital in SA and few days recovering slowed me up a little. All's good now so here we go. Back in about 2006 the then Labour gov in Victoria revamped the planning requirements for a number of zones including the Farm Zone. In there wisdo...

Planning changes for Victoria

The state government is doing an overhaul of rural planning zones. One of the changes proposed is remove Motor Racing Track from the prohibited use list. I'll post more details in a couple of days. It is important for us to make submissions to support this as trials event fall under the term motor r...

Re: The passing of a Trials Legend, Mark Beechey.

I can't express my sympathy to Mark's family........... I was fortunate enough to meet and ride with him in his recent years back in the sport. He loved trials and also made ATV racing a sport. Mark was one of the few that enjoyed riding in my backyard, I wish I had been able to play in the trials c...

No cross training for me for a while!!!

In 2005 after 12 months riding a trials bike I had to have a shoulder reco after dislocating it and tearing out the biceps tendon amongst other things (not bike related). That kept me off a bike completely for 6 months and made things iffy for almost a year. Now I've had to get the other shoulder do...

Scorpa SY250R Super LR

Hi Guys, After many successful trail rides on a Scorpa with only minor mods (+1 tooth on front sprocket, Gasser rear brake disc and a rear disc guard to reduce mud build up on the pads) I have found the bike a great short range single track/mountain machine and even a reasonable trail bike if you do...

Re: The art of stationary balancing

:D Get some funny looks doing full lock circle work on the Kato I can tell ya! I wish I was as brave now as I was when I was 18 and could really use the skills I picked up riding trials. It's more than just clutch throttle and brake control. I've got far greater accuracy and ability to let the bike ...
