Re: Monty 247 cylinder removal

If you have seized bolts. Spray WD40/RP7/Yield/your favorite possum pee on it. Let it soak in for a day or two if you can and keep spraying it, wet with spray is good. Give it time to soak in and help you. If you can get a impact socket on the head or an inhex into it, grab a cheap impact screwdrive...

Re: Queensland Twinshock titles at Meringandan

Hello all. Looking forward to catching up with everyone and admiring each other's twinshocks, or as Graham calls them 'real trials bikes'.

The weather is looking pretty good too. Tops around 20 - 23 degrees during the day. Great for riders, observers and spectators too.

See you all there

Re: Twin Shocks for sale

I've always said that if someone is selling a bike, car, anything really and it's in pieces.... 1) They know that it's going to cost a motsa to put it back together, and that's why they're selling it. If not, they'd have put it back together and be selling it complete and running. 2) Unless you know...

Re: Recommendations for a mountain bike

A good mountain bike? One with an engine?

Seriously though it's probably like asking which trials bike should I buy?

Ride friends bikes if you can. Get the one that you feel comfortable on

Re: Gear selection for sections

I have a TY175 and it has 4 neutrals, well seems to haha. Hill climbs and open sections 2nd can be used. If lap 1 you wanted more speed somewhere - start in 2nd on the next lap. After you get to know your bike and how you feel on it, whether you are able to feather the clutch to slow or need more re...

Re: Trial bikes on dirt roads

If it's registered in Qld, you can ride on any legal road. Dirt or bitumen. Unregistered and you're restricted to private property.

Re: Assessment 1 Competency? HAHA!!!!

There are a few things in moto trials that could be better thought through. The trouble with motor sports in Australia is the area of promotion of the sports to others. All of the hype is around the elite level. In the case of moto trials, attention is directed at the Raga, Bou, etc. Did they wake u...

Re: Basket Cases

Chippy, looking at your old photos from the 1982 Beenleigh showgrounds... Your Italjet and you almost look the same today. The only thing I can see changed is your beard. You're still riding with style on the green machines, mainly the KT but always great to watch mate

Re: Basket Cases

Greg, I have a bit of information about our conversation Re fuel in tankers. I had a chance to talk with a Shell tanker driver and he informed me that all of the individual tanks are labeled with the contents. Thus reducing the risk of cross contamination of fuel types.... I still don't like the stu...
