Re: Beta/Sherco/GasGas parts which one

I love my old 2002 :sherco 290. BUT, I would hesitate to buy another one after the last 12 months with this thing. It's a pity that the parts support in Australia isn't like the Japanese road, trail or trial industry. It's all very good to sell the new bike, but if you are not prepared to give a pro...

Re: Conondale Twinshock Masters, Nov 5 2017

Just a friendly reminder that with the recent rain our little buzzing pals are highly active of a evening and all day in the shady treed spots at home here in Nanango and I imagine that the same can be said for Conondale, especially along the creek behind the camp site. So as the saying goes... Reme...

Re: TY 175 Upgrades?

Hi Jools, I have made a small change to the foot pegs on mine. I got some flat bar and wrapped it around the original but made the loop longer and a bit wider, a small bit of bar was needed to space out the mod piece. It's now the same size as the pegs on my Sherco and other bikes. Plenty of room fo...

Re: Where are all the entries ????

I have to agree with Steve S. Mototrials is not marketed in any way like other motor sports. We see the V8 supercars, motogp, motocross, pretty much if it's got an engine in it sports on the TV news, why not our sport? I've never seen an add for an event online, on TV or heard it on the radio. If yo...

Re: Basket Cases

Hi everyone, I've bought a couple of little TY175C basket cases and I'm looking for the correct colour for the engine parts. I've got 3 1976 TY175C's all with different colour engines... 1 is all plain alloy, 1 has a black head and plain barrel (both 525's) and the other 1 has a black head and looks...

Re: Basket Cases

The RL250 looks like she just rolled out of the factory. You should be proud of all your hard work. The blood, sweat and tears too.

Re: Freeing up a seized piston

I had a win!!! The diesel and tranny fluid didn't work while the engine was in one piece. However after removing the head, in the space on top of the piston I filled it with the Yield. I checked yesterday, and the Yield had mostly disappeared. It had been soaking for about a week and a half. So I to...

Freeing up a seized piston

Hi everybody. I have a seized TY175. There has unfortunately been water in the air intake when it was sitting. As a result the piston has become 1 with the barrel. I have separated the barrel from the base and the big end and mains feel OK so far. HOWEVER, the piston is convinced it's not going to l...
