Re: TY 250 Improvements

David At the moment I have TY bits everywhere and all I seem to be doing is working on them so yes some more riding would be good. On Saturday OMCC did a Demo at the Boronia Exteme motor show so we did some riding there. My son Zachary got a rid in the buggy and scared the crap out of him. If you Go...

Re: TY 250 Improvements

David Thanks for the info on the oil pump. Another question. Do you think it is worth it to relocate the side stand on the swing arm to reduce sprung weight? I had decided to do this until I looked at my sons Gas Gas and saw the side stand on the swing arm. OK now for the story of the seized swing a...

Hey David

Thanks again for great information! I have not picked the bike up yet but it did have a 250 sticker on the exhaust cover. Looked lick a pretty standard TY to me except for the paint job.

David I have a method for getting the wiper seal housing out of the Falcons. 1/ Grind a stanley knife blade so it is sharp at for 1/3 at one end and blade completly gone at the last third. Use this with a hammer to get the housing out to the thickness of the blade. Start with the sharp end and work ...
