Re: Aussie Pre65 Titles Debacle Again.

As an absolute newby in the sport can I say that I went along to the Aussie Titles only to watch the twinshock and classic bikes (or whatever the classes are called). The sections did appear to be pretty hard although I understand some had been eased off on the Sunday I was there. At the end of the ...

Re: Proposed Rule changes for 2011.

I would propose a Pre 65 Euro only class.

Ban the pommy bikes and my bet is within a couple of years the forest shall resound to a plethora of early Bultacos, CZ's etc etc.....

....maybe just joking.....

Re: wheels

Guys Thanks for the various replies. I have priced spoke sets through Yamaha, they are around $120 per wheel which is the same as what my local recommended wheel builder charges. Does that sound right? For the record , my local Yamaha dealership spares guy tells me there are only a VERY small number...

Re: pre-65 Spanish?

As is evident here there are arguments for both sides but some of the more interesting quotes are as follows (I have not attributed these so as not to dob anyone in, if you want to read the th...

wheels

First step in the tidy up of my ty is getting the wheels trued up and possibly respoked. I read somewhere that the hubs should be painted to protect the magnesium. Can I bead blast these and just spay em with a can? Also , I have seen some nice bikes that have been respoked with stainless spokes. I ...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock

I suppose I should at last post some pics of my toy. After looking at the stunning resto shots of the TY250D that is under the TY Challenge section I could not bring myself to post these there, so here are a couple of shots of my first foray into twinshocks. The bike is basically quite rideable righ...

Re: TY float question

Have put it all back together but no joy, still no boogie. I have checked it does have spark (just rested the plug against top of the head and kicked it over) but how bright / fierce is the spark supposed to be? This one does not appear that strong (certainly not like a car). Those ignition bits are...

Re: TY float question

Thanks heaps for the responses guys.

I think I will go with the 23mm +/- 1mm as per Davids reply plus the spec sheet that Brownie provided.

Once I have the beast running again shall post some pics as well.

Cheers and thanks again.
