The Overflow

Hopefully I will be able to get out this weekend to spectate at The Overflow.

I see it is on the Boonah Beaudesert Rd but are there any more directions then this and is there any dirt roads to travel on.

Can anyone also tell me the driving time from Brisbane (Southside)

Re: Riding Gear

If you are looking for some cheap gear that is by price not quality get some mountain bike protection gear it is made for high movement (and pedaling) so I would assume good for trials. Seems good to me as I am only just getting back into trials. I use this stuff all the time on the mountain bike an...

Re: Which mechanic would you take your Yamaha TY to

Thanks for the advice. I only picked Michelin because that is what is on there at the moment. They are brand new looking but have sat around so long are cracked. What else do you recommend. In terms of mechanics there is a huge differnce between push bike mechanics so I thought it may be the same fo...

Which mechanic would you take your Yamaha TY to

Looking to get someone to look over my TY I have recently purchased, Does anyone have any recommendations for someone in Brisbane (Southside). It also needs new tyres so a recommendation for that as well would be helpful or what I would expect to pay for Michelin replacements. Also can you just buy ...

Re: Open entry fees.

Coming from Mountain Biking these prices seem cheap. The Epic is a 100k race point to point and costs $110 for Elite and $99 for recreational riders.
The Noosa Enduro is $90 and these things are festivals of pain.

Fully Restored TY250B now sitting in my garage

I brought Col Aish's restored TY250B. So now have my TY but only thing is it's too good to ride and risk scratching. Oh well back to the mountain bike again now and start training in earnst for the Epic (over 100k from Toowoomba over the range and back down to Hidden Vale on the Bicentenial trail). ...

Re: Looking to re-live my youth

Thanks for all the help so far. I have spoken to Col about his bike. What an interesting guy and so helpful. This bike sounds a gem and really restored to new and a museum piece that would be too good to ride. Although the museum piece just to look at and admire every day is tempting to me at this s...

Re: Looking to re-live my youth

Thanks for the tips. I probably wont go for a later model bike as I don't know about competition for myself. I don't know of any where to ride to practice in any case. I ride mountain bikes at the moment and that takes up all my time in any case. The bike will be something to look at and ride occass...

Looking to re-live my youth

I have been looking to purchase a TY175 or 250 twin shock and need some advice. Should I buy fully restored or a cheapie to restore myself. When I was younger I had a brand new 76 I think (red trim tank) TY 175 which I purchased in Mareeba and then brought back to Brisbane when I was transferred bac...
