Re: DenmanMCC Twinshock 2 day

What a great weekend thanks so much the Denman crew, my only regret is I hadn't done it sooner.
The old Bike didn't miss a beat and even the body held up pretty well, I'll be back too much fun to miss out on.

Re: TLR200 frame mods

Hi Micheal, they are a pretty good bike to start with the only mods I'd do are Widen the footpegs see BJ Racing US site to get the idea 400 mm shocks see trail and trial UK betors seem a good deal Higher handlebars for us older folk The tank seat units from Shedworks UK look pretty good but expensiv...

Re: TY 250 Improvements

G'day Starky. I haven't changed the brake pedal as yet. Cutting a wedge out the bottom of the lever, about 1 1/2" back from the tip, then angling it down and welding it up is probably what I'll try if it annoys me enough. I've been enjoying the feel of the lowered pegs to much to really notice ...

Re: TY 250 Improvements

G'day Stan, What I didn't think of when I bought these pegs is the relation of the actual peg to where the pivot tongue is. On these pegs the tongue is at the very rear of the peg so although the rear of the peg is about 20mm back, the front is much the same as the old ones, the new ones being 48mm ...

Re: TY 250 Improvements

Stanm, I did my pegs recently 25mm down x 20mm back, thats the back of the old pegs compared to the back of the new pegs probably could gone back a bit further, although they feel pretty good, a lot more comfortable than the old position even though ones a bit lower than the other  any way I'l...

TY250 footpegs

Having decided to change the footpeg position on the ty but not wanting to cut the old mounts off I came up with this [see pics]. The new pegs were chinese $20 ebay jobs and mounts a bit of scrap lying around so it didn't cost much If they work out alright I might take a bit more time making up anot...

Re: Peter Paice Replica TY250 twinshock

What's the go where the oil pump used to be is that a weight off the crank or our my eyes playing tricks on me.
Looks like a JC silencer I remember getting hit in the forehead with one of these when the front wheel stopped and me and the rest of the bike didn't.

Re: TY250 twinshock clutch mod

I think David should be congratulated for experimenting with his clutch and posting it for everyone to read about it and telling us what works and what doesn't for him,. It doesn't mean everyone has to rush out and do it but for some who would like a lighter clutch like me with arthritic fingers, wh...
