Re: Suzuki RL250 Mania

I went through a big puddle yesterday. Water splashed up to the air box. The Suzi stopped in the middle of the water. Poor little bike. I must fix. Where's my leatherman?

Re: Basket Cases

Greg, I have a microfishe and a manual for the RL250. I like your thoughts on the kick starter dint in the engine pipe. I thought the same thing once. I also tried to seal the gap between the engine pipe and the muffler anf I too thought, "what's the point?". ha ha ha Talking about fuel ta...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock

Crikey! That RL has 2 hours to go and it's up to $2,025.00, without a lighting kit.
That must only mean one thing. I could sell mine for at least $25,000.00.

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock

There's is an RL250 for sale on eBay from the same seller. The paint is rough and the guards are not original. The tank, seat, engine and frame look pretty good from the photos.
I don't know about the current bid. I'd like to get a lighting kit as well if I were to be enticed.

Re: Basket Cases

My researching of RL's tells me something slightly different. From what I found, the early model RL's (L I think) have a Aluminium tank because it was a last minute effort by Suzuki to save some weight. Late model RL's (M model) have the steel tank. The lighting kit was not standard on any bike. It'...

Re: Basket Cases

Nice RL Jack. I am stoked about your find. Talk about an easy fix! Standard 428 chains are not long enough by a few inches. Front sprocket 428 pitch are no longer available. I use a 520 pitch from a PE250, about an '81 model. They have the same spline with n from 11 to 15 from memory. I have an 11, ...

Re: Show us a picture of your Twinshock

My eye's have dried Scorps, as soon as I hit the skate park the wind in my eyes from riding up and down the half pipe dry my eyes. That is, dry my eye's from the wind making them water when I was riding to the park (at a phenominal speed of 45km/h). Wollongong appears to be a much bigger place when...

Re: Suzuki RL250 Mania

You can tell how much the RL vibrates becasue the internal microphone in the camera picks up all of the vibration and nothing else. The vibration even makes the picture wobble when your watching a play back of the films.
