Re: 30mm OKO carbs?

I think the only ones that dont have chrome slides are probably the Chinese and Thai ones.............cheaper, but quality doesnt seem to be great.

Re: KT250 resto...help appreciated

Make sure those shocks work properly mounted wrong way up. Emulsion type gas shocks need an additional oil/air separator piston for damping to work correctly wrong way up.

Re: 30mm OKO carbs?

I have a modified 30mm OKO on my 156 Fantic, and the bigger carb seems to work very well indeed. Just wondered if anyone else had tried one of these, and whether or not more over rev at the top end makes it easier to use a lower gear in the sections?

Re: 30mm OKO carbs?

Does the 30mm allow any more over rev at the top end, and was low speed running affected in any way?

30mm OKO carbs?

Wonder if anyone has tried a 30mm OKO carb on any current machinery?

Re: TLR Carbie

Is the OKO Australia manifold angled to allow the carbs to fit properly on the TLR I wonder?

Re: TLR Carbie

As the stock TLR air filter consists of a single layer of foam over a gauze flame trap, so I would have thought a pod type filter would be comparable to this? Bobs B&J kit I think sells for less than $500 US, so seems very good value for anyone looking to improve TLR performance.

Re: TLR Carbie

I can see exactly how Bobs B&J carb kit fits onto a TLR, but was unable to get any information from OKO Aus as to how their kit fits onto the bikes, or any feedback from anyone who has one fitted.

Re: Replacement carbs?

The main things about fitting a properly set up modern carb to an older bike is firstly that it improves performance, and secondly is something that anyone can afford (OKO carbs available from £50 in UK).

Re: Replacement carbs?

Sorry Jon I thought your earlier post on this thread suggested you had fitted a modern ignition to your HT. I guess its a matter of horses for courses though, and I doubt very much Neil Gaunt will be using an unmodified British made carb in Scotland this year!
