Re: Flatslides on Twinshocks

Its interesting how carburettors on twinshock or Pre 65 bikes promotes such healthy discussion. I have been riding in trials for over 50 years in both Australia and the UK, where I am at the moment, and my firm belief is that if guys can invent and manufacture some of the things that are on the mark...

Re: Classic Rigid Trials Bikes - What's in your shed ?

Superb looking bike Andrew and you make some good points about the heavyweight machines not getting a fair go. Over the last 20 years in Aus they have disappeared into the corners of sheds because the trials never catered for them and as you say the lightweight Cubs etc. took over and I was guilty o...

Re: Twinshock and P65 trials in the UK.

Hi Geoff
Drop me an email to: twinshock2@gmail.com and I will send you some pics of the Pre 70/65 bikes that are competing regularly over here.
Nice to get a response on this subject although we will probably be bashing our heads against a wall for the next 20 years.
Cheers

Re: Twinshock and P65 trials in the UK.

Hi Jon V8 I'm an ex pat trials rider from the UK who spent 32 years in Oz riding all grades and finishing last year in Classic but I am now back in the UK for a while for family reasons, riding in BMCA events in the Midlands. As you say the Classic and twinshock scene here is fantastic and we get ar...

Re: Grey Import Trials Bikes?

Hey Bird Do I remember you from Rob's farm down at Currumbin, if so I am the old fella who used to come down with my old Triumph Tiger Cub and we would all go off into the hills for a few hours. What happened to the shed full of Ty's and Italjets ? I'm over in the UK caring for my mom for a while bu...

Re: NSW Classic & Twinshock Championship

Hi Y'all Having different cut off years for Classic and Twinshock bikes is an excellent initiative to promote more interest in the older bikes and lets face it, Pre 65 Classic hasn't grown in the 31 years that I was involved in Aussie trials with about 6 appearing at a big event in Qld and probably ...

Re: (almost) silent trials bike

Hi Brownie I've seen a few radial finned and later Bultaco's but very little else, the M10 went on sale over here in 1965 but there's not many still being used, Cubs and C15's are more popular because of the amount that come on the market and there are an enormous range of products available to spec...

Re: (almost) silent trials bike

Good subject Jimmy David. Not sure if you were aware but I am over in UK looking after family business for a while and have been entering Pre 70 events on a Cub that I've bought over here. Some of the quietest bikes at these trials, where there has been up to 85 starters, have been the old heavyweig...

Re: QLD Titles, 26 June 2011

It would be nice if they put the full results list up also, riders want to know how they got on against their
opposition !!!
It was the State titles after all.
