Would the "Open Free" Scoring Help?

I have just been reading elswhere on the website about the "open free" style of scoring that is becoming rapidly more popular in Europe. Would this kind of scoring be the answer - or part of the answer? After all, it would allow for an almost infinate number of variations for riding the se...

Pivot Pegs

Picktas, As far as I know, in trials, it is a regulation that footpegs are pivot type and not fixed. Probably from a safety point of view, it would be better to have a footpeg that would pivot up and away from your body as the bike falls from a great height onto your groin as you attempt that 'impos...

Got It Off!

Thanks David . . . After I sent off the post asking how to remove the steering bearings, I called a friend from work (a Fitter) He said "Just use a bigger hammer!" Which I did, and now it's off. I will take the parts to work to get the bottom bearing off the shaft,. Thanks for that tip.

Removing Bearings from steering - '04 BETA

Does anybody know how to remove the bearings in the steering head of a BETA? I have got as far as the picture attached and can't seem to get any further. I have soaked everything with WD-40 and belted it with a hammer and block of wood as hard as I dare, but it doesn't want to budge. Is there some s...

Very Interesting

Very interesting observations about the differences in the 4-bangers. . I was considering going to a 4-stroke the next bike I buy so that is helpful for me to make my decision. . . Only one thing puzzled me. . you talk about operating the bike on a hot day and then you say it was 22 degrees. . . Whi...

Hi Shayne,

The Monty is a nice looking bike. . . You just need to get more aggressive with your riding and you will see your riding improve.
Just some advice from an 'old bloke'

Why would you want to put a huge seat on a trials bike?

Just came across this site. . . A company that makes aftermarket seats for trials bikes . The seats are bigger than a lounge chair!!

Why would anyone want to do that to a perfectly good tials bike, I wonder?
