Re: New enviroment laws regarding trials competition

Hi Damo, I can help with enviromats. All they are is a specially made mat, about 60cm square that is used whenever you refuel, or lube the chain at an event. Most other facets already use them and basically they are placed under the bike to stop any spillage falling onto the ground. They only cost a...

Re: Old Pics

Don't know about Brando, I was thinking more along the lines of Eric Estrada from CHiPS!

Being shirt and jumper less as well under the leather jacket would have made you a pin up Manpower style, but it was probably too cold in Scorpatoria right?

Well, thats what my wife said anyway!

Well said Toby, We in the Keyneton Club have a young girl who was going to ride the Aussie Titles last year, but couldn't because of that other MA stuff up with age limits - she was only 12 on January 1 2007. I am sure Brooke and Chloe would have appreciated the extra competition. Lara is our curren...

Re: Kawasaki KT250 chain guard??

Hi Colin,

You may want to try Ted Redway at Truro (SA) for an answer on this one as he owns/owned a KT outfit for many years and may know.
Hope this helps.

Re: Trials as training. Racers on trials bikes.

Here is just some of what I came up with while researching last years Aussie Trials Titles programme from the South Aussie side of things. Chris Holmes - trials to Enduro - 1st SA rider to Medal at an Aussie Enduro championships, a 24 Hour Reliability Trial win - and back to trials to win the 1st Po...

Re: Heres one for people sick of guessing

Assuming Robert had the same passenger for 3 seasons, 1974, 1975 & 1976, the passenger in this photo would be Gary Jackson.

In 1974 & 1976 they finished in the top 3 in the Aussie Titles, but were unplaced in 1975.

Hope this fills a blank.

Re: Another "who's this".

My father and uncle have photos of Sam the man demonstrating his skills around 1970 / 71 on Menglers Hill in SA, basically across the road from last years Aussie Titles. With the vegetation and sandy soil in the pic very similar to what is on parts of Menglers I'd almost hazard a guess that the pic ...

Re: Trials week in Victoria in October 2008

Hi Stephen, Just a heads up if a group of you are coming across the Tasman again this year - the SA Titles will be held the week before the :VIC: Victorian titles on the 27th & 28th of September. No exact location as yet but it is being run by the Keyneton MCC, so it is likely that it will be cl...

Re: Riding in the wet

Riding in the wet?? What's that??
Here in SA we don't ride in the wet, unless a flock of galahs fly overhead, and we don't ride in fog either, unless dust counts!

Anyone got a feather hat, a tom tom and know how to dance?

Its a dry agruement!

Re: Discussion: U18's restricted to 125cc; TdN riders to coach

Fair comment Scorps, and I agree with fun being just as important, if not the most important thing for most riders, junior or senior. However, riding a bike that is too big or heavy for the rider isnt fun. Having to struggle through sections and not be able to ride to your ability, and therefore enj...
