Re: Magazine Articles
I ride one of those Fantic 300's occasionally, I find the off idle responce to be instantaneous and a little abrupt if anything and that's using the original factory jetting specs, quite the opposite of how they found it back in 1984.It does require a bit of clutch use however and the clutch action is a bit ordinary as they stated. I've never ridden a 240, but if anyone has a test/report that they can post up, it would be much appreciated.

Re: Magazine Articles
I
can remember reading a test on the 240 Fantic in Trail and Track when the Fantics first came out over here. The article heading was, The 240 Fantic, For Experts Only. They are very nice to ride though, very zippy. They were probably the first trials bike made to hop. Now to get back to David`s post which he must have made while smoking something. How can an imitation Spanish Trials Bike ever be classed as a real trials bike is beyond me. Here is a test on a real one just for you David. -

Re: Magazine Articles
Hi everyone,
Hey banana bender, have a look at this test with Bev Anderson as the test pilot. See Graham are so good, even the ladies can ride them. Have you even found a bike test on a with a lady as the test pilot? See Graham I think your missing the point that are so user friendly, anyone can ride them. Greg, has Kermit got good brakes even in water, as Graham thinks gets scared of water? I think someone needs to prove him wrong.

Might be based but Italian handling and an Austrian engine.....
I'd rather be a D grade participant than an A grade spectator....

Re: Magazine Articles
Thank you Everyone for the Replies! Some interesting reading.
Reinald, I have ridden with both of those SWMTest Pilots, one has even been for a ride at my place!
Now back to "THE BEST TWIN SHOCK TRIALS BIKE OF ALL TIME"
Here is another test:
Is it possible that I am the current owner of this test bike
It is a bit like a SWM with the kickstart on the right side and CDI ignition!

Re: Magazine Articles
Looks fairly likely that the sprocket guard is the same as the bike in the test.
I'm hanging out to find out who the test rider is and where page 21 is

Re: Magazine Articles
Hi Everyone,
David, page 21 is there, it is below the cover shot:
Glenn Robbins, but I am unsure if he uses the alias Russell Coight?
Maybe it would explain some of the content?
So many Questions!

Re: Magazine Articles
Thanks Greg. That makes me enjoy watching "Russell Quoit" aka Glenn Robbins even more now I know he used to own one of Greg's RL250s. Fantastic news and amazing provenance.
Sorry about missing page 21 Greg. For some reason my browser wouldn't open that image yesterday. All good now though and what a fantastic bike test, or test of a fantastic bike anyway. A very amusing read.
Not sure if he was serious or tongue in cheek about the poor old Juggernaut "not very popular" TL250 and the TY250 only being popular because you could buy parts easily.
Time to read it over again, having probably missed something the first time from giggling too much. Can't remember him saying anything about the KT so I'll be looking out
