Yamaha TY250 Mono fuel cap help

Hi all,

Anyone know would the yamaha pw50 fuel cap fit on the TY mono fuel tank?
Since the original part is obsoleted from yamaha and i heard that pw50 have the exact same cap design :?: :?:

I'm assuming you mean the plastic-tank TY mono.
Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that the Chinese rip-off PeeWee 50 cap is a lot cheaper than the genuine Yamaha Peewee 50 cap, and it worked fine on a Yamaha PW50 tank.

Yes it is a plastic tank model sorry that i forgot to mention it

re: the PW50 fuel cap - my local bike wreckers had both a genuine Yamaha cap and a Chinese copy.

I tried the non-gen one first but the thread is different & wouldn't screw on - genuine one fits though!

The threads feel a bit loose when you do it up so maybe not exactly right but it seems to seal ok.
