Re: montesa Parts
Hi Sean, many places overseas plus ebay, not aware of anyone in Oz selling old bike parts for Montesa's. Some sites I know of as follows ............. I can't recommend one over another as their pricing and shipping costs vary widely, but buerkmayer in Germany does a perfect reproduction of the chain guard in alloy compared to others fibreglass replicas. (original in plastic).

I won't go any further, this list should be enough to do your head in, it does mine in. Best of luck.

Re: montesa Parts
very many thanks for the Parts contacts. I have now ordered, from Germany, the Alloy Chain Guard and also a return spring for the gear lever. Now all I need to source is a Tool Box ( at the right price ) The same items seem to differ a lot depending where they come from ??

Re: montesa Parts clutch pad
:When I removed the Clutch Cover assembly it looks like there was Pad to push in the Clutch. It has disappeared to who knows where. Drop a screw and never to be seen again !!!!
Anyone have one ? apparently in Steel or Brass and 10 mm.
Chain Guard ( in Stainless Steel) and Gear lever Spring from Germany are all top quality.
Thanks Sean

Re: montesa Parts
These followers come in 4 different lengths and steel or brass. My '75 had a steel one that looked more like a piece of welding slag and the 3 leg pusher it operates on was also chewed up. I made a new one out of brass and refaced the pusher. If they are too short, the angle of the clutch lever will make it harder to use and you may not get full depression, too long and the cable end may slip out of it's fork in the lever. Apparently the ideal position for the lever is close to immediately above the case join.
InMotion now has these listed online.
