Hi everyone
I'm starting to restore a TY250A, my first resto. The bottom triple clamp has a fairly deep worn spot caused by rubbing with the brake cable. Silly question: should I weld it up or should I just leave it? I believe this affects only the aesthetics and strength shouldn't be an issue. Any advice and suggestions are much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Simon

If it was mine, Tig fill to make it pretty, otherwise you'll always notice it and say to yourself, "Why didn't I fix that when it was apart'.

Hi Simon. It is all up to you. If you`re happy leaving it there then leave it but if you`re like the rest of us and a bit anal about how your bike looks then get it welded up. You are the one who has to decide. Graham.

Yeah, thank you guys. I think you are right, if I don't weld it I may regret it. I'm not that fussy and getting the bike just presentable and running will be a great achievement, given its current conditions.
Thank you
Thank you
