Hi Folks,
I'm in the middle of pulling my TLR250 apart to give it some love (new rings), plus a few parts being ceramic coated.
I've pulled the carby apart to give it a good clean & once over.
I've found a 'Carby Rebuild Kit' on sleezebay that says it fits TLR200 & TLR250 but when I go into their images it a rebuild kit for a CB100.
It's listing a #110 main & #38 pilot.
My TLR250 has #100 main & #40 pilot.
I'm not concerned about the jets, just keen to get a new nozzle & needle / seat set. (needle / seat same flow #2.0 on CB100 & TLR250)
What jets do others have in their TLR's ???

Do you mean a needle & seat the bits that control the float ? I've just received a 38 pilot & a carb gasket kit i bought from tytrials & will probably install it in the next few days.

Hi Eagle,
The Needle & seat that controls fuel flow into the bowl should be #2.0 (mine is quite worn with a groove in the needle)
The pilot jet in my 250 is #40 and main jet is #100
I bought the bike s/h 6 years ago & it's the first time carby has been off (bloody reliable Honda's )
I just wondering what are stock sizes? & what sizes other punters are using.
Cheers,

I've got 2 tlr 250's & there is a 2.5 stamped into the seat on the top of the nut, my pilot is a 40 & main 100.

Thanx Eagle,
Jetting is same as my 250, #100 main & #40 pilot but your needle & seat are a higher flow than mine.
These TLR’s are so good on fuel I’ve never had the bowl run dry.
Thanx for checking your’s for me.
Have a great New Year.
Cheers.

Re: TLR250 stock jetting
G'day Gary, do you have a link to this kit ? I pulled a carby apart today & it has a 95mj in it, i also found some seats with a 2 on them, i bought a kit a while ago & i noticed the seat was a different height which changes the float height. It also had a needle with rubber on the end & it wouldn't seal properly in the seat, i ended using the original needle in the new seat.

Hi Eagle,
This kit doesnt have float with it.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Carburetor- ... 3326904806
I bought a kit the same, but with a float (just as a spare) from same seller.
Cheers,
Gary.

Re: TLR250 stock jetting
You will just need to adjust the float if you have a problem, that kit says 110mj & 38 pilot ?

Re: TLR250 stock jetting
Well spotted Eagle,
kit is for a CB100, but it was way cheaper to buy the kit than just buy a needle & seat, plus its the only way I could get a new nozzle.
I will be using my standard main jet, but may try the slightly leaner pilot.
I also found a HUGE discrepancy in the manifold diameter compared to inlet tract in the head.
I've now ported it to match & flow heaps better The manifold must have been about 3mm smaller in diameter.
Cheers,
Gary.
