Hi all you KT250 experts,
Last year I dug the remains of my 1975 KT250 (which I bought in new 1975) from the back of the shed at my mum's place, with the intention of rebuilding it to its former glory.
Now, while rumaging through some boxes of bits over the weekend I found a chain guard (pictured below) which looks like it might belong to the KT, but I am not really sure. All of the monting brackets on the swingarm have broken off and the chain guard looks like it might fit, but I am not sure.
I have looked at the few pictures that I have been able to find, but the chain guards all look a bit longer than the one I found. Can anyone confirm that it is/is not the correct chain guard for a 1975 KT250?
Thanks in advance,
Colin

Hi Colin,
You may want to try Ted Redway at Truro (SA) for an answer on this one as he owns/owned a KT outfit for many years and may know.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Sorry to say that chain guard is not from a KT.
It is similar though. The fixing method is the same but the size and shape of the guard and the locations of the fixings are wrong.
Regards

Re: Kawasaki KT250 chain guard??
Thanks David,
I was unsure about it, and that is why I asked the question. I will now have to put a chain guard on the ever growing list of parts to find.

If you strike out with getting a decent KT chain guard, you are welcome to one from my shed for the cost of the postage but be warned it is pretty dodgy. It has a big crack, a welded on extension piece and is painted black.
