TY350N - should I sell it or wreck it

Postby pom » Mon Oct 20, 2008 6:59 pm

I have decided to abandon the old girl and buy something a bit more modern.

My problem is that I live a long way from anywhere (near Charleville in SW Qld) and I'm not sure of the best way to cut my losses with my TY350N. So I am seeking advice.

I am not trying to make a fortune, just lose a bit less - the bike is complete and runs well, but it is scruffy and I have never been happy with starting it - I can't get it to start with a half a kick so I end up clipping the footpeg up and the kick start over rotates and touches the clutch cover. The frame has been badly repainted and suspension needs love - basically I don't want to put more cash into this thing, so any advice would be appreciated.

I have wrecked bikes by post as it were before and it worked out OK, I'm just not sure if there would be any interest in 350 parts or should I leave it in one piece and let someone less lazy than me do a restoration.

Help.......

How much are you asking for the complete bike?

Hi
as I said, I am only hoping to lose as little as possible - I paid $1800 for the bike from Brisbane at the start of the year, but I do live a long way from any where so I have take that into account - there arn't many 350s about so it is hard to judge.
What would it cost you pick it up from SW qld

Don't wreck it. Everone that goes to the bone yard is one less example around to enjoy.
