Hi Everyone,

WELL

Judging by responses and phone calls, I get the feeling there are a few people who want to look in my bike shed! Some questions I can answer now, firstly I will sell some bits and have done already. Most cosmetic bits and easily lost or broken pieces I will keep. I ride all of my bikes on a rotation depending on the mood. Recently Sherco Queensland did a search looking for a rear brake lever for TY 250A. A lot of people replied and tried to help, but no one could! I looked in my parts and had 4 off, to me this doesn't make sense. So, I am happy to swap or sell surplus parts, prefering to swap as someone may be able to help me with something I need as well, I see this as win win. I am compiling a want list and will add to this thread when complete.

I thought that laying all my cards on the table would stimulate interest. Yes it did!

Greg,
I noticed in your original post a swag of TY175's. Are you thinking of wrecking any bikes or sell parts if in excess? I dont have anything specific to swap to what you need - sorry
I am after a TY175 exhaust, header not important, middle muffler wanted.
Cheers,
Roger

Hi Everyone,

Just replying in order as they came.

Firstly David, Alpina rear wheel is the same as the photo you posted except no holes in hub. Sprocket has 9 mounting holes and you probably guessed Alpina gearing is higher than Sherpa T. According to specs 2nd in Sherpa T same as 1st in Alpina, I have 50 teeth by 11 teeth at the moment. Plus I have managed to break backing plate where the stay mounts and ends off brake shoes! Must be hard on equipment!

Secondly Subanator, I am a sheet metal worker by trade specialising in stainless steel. My intention was to make mandrel bend header pipes and sell exhaust on an exchange basis. However, with you being so far away a middle muffler would be cheaper to freight! Now the hard bit, how do I value a 35 year old muffler? What do you think Roger?

Thirdly Bigem, I have recently checked chain guards for someone else and in short supply, so I don't want to sell it! However as above, I make my own out of aluminium and if you are interested I can email you a photo? These are lighter than original and achieves the same result. Andrew, I would need to know which model as JC and JE are different.

Thanks again for the responses, I am happy to help where I can.

Hi Greg
For my 175C as we have talked about , I need a bas plate & the seat base.
Aside from what I have mentioned the only other parts I am chasing is a chain guard. Can you also send me pictures of the one you fabricate?
The tank I'll get repaired. All ther other parts I have now sourced so I'm pretty much ready to start.
FYI I just picked up a complete original exhaust for the 175C for $200 good condition & unmolested.

Cheers Warren
