When Kermit came to me, it had a straight pod that was falling apart, while sourcing a new one I found out they make angle mounts.

Clutch, electrics and fuel connections next!
Paulo, your RL is coming together very nicely, soon you will be able to reclaim some of the time it owes you by riding it. Very easy to get frustrated at this stage because the hours have mounted up working on it and the ride time is usually ZERO !

I just thought I would share photos of two side stands that were on old ty frames before i removed these classic items.
The second one was the best. 30 x 30 box with coach bolt.
Cheers
Stanm, loving the rusty GOLD! I bet they could tell a few Stories?
David Lahey wrote:the second one looks like it might have stuck out a bit when it was retracted. Most A model frames I've come across just have the stub of the mounting lug left after the outer bit of the lug has broken off. Looks like one of yours there still has an intact lug!
David, one of my "A" model frames has the original stand mount and there is no plate wrapped around the frame to spread the load.
Billy, Thankyou for RIDE IT by Don Smith
Something tells me Don would be voting for 2 Smoke in the age old 2 Stroke versus 4 Stroke argument!
