Greg, the frame number on my bike is 525-104155 which makes it a 1976 TY175C, the non-ADR'd model from what I understand. How do i pick between a JC and JE? I have both 175B and 175D manuals and they tell me nothing?? I am interested in your chain guard.

Hi Bigem,

Gary (gazam) has posted (TY Restorations & TY Challenge) on Classic & Twin Shock. At the bottom of his post is TY 175 frame numbers. After looking at this I am pretty sure your bike is a 175C. I think there is an error in the list with 76 model with IN4 prefix listed as JE. My 76 IN4 is a 175JC.

A busy time at work, joys of working for yourself, hope to make new chain guards later this week. Will send photos to you and Warren then.

Thank you

If anyone can help me, please let me know. If you need parts from my basket case list, talk to me and hopefully we can swap?

I have the originals and am about to get them remade in alloy and fibreglass. An extensive search on the internet found someone like Sammy Miller doing TL125 sidecovers in plastic.

This is for the early 122cc model.

Hi Everyone,

PA has kindly reduced photos of TY175 B&C chainguard so we can upload. Before all of you TY fanatics correct me, yes it si a TY175JC frame with a B model swingarm as I like the stand on that side. I use one piece of 2mm aluminium and deburr all edges for $45.00 plus postage. I also have a model for JC & JE with more mounting points and one for Alpina.

Thank you

Hi Greg, if you have a jc chain guard already made up, could you bring it to the nats please $$$ await.

I'll be the one with the 175 JC, I don't think the extra weight will effect my final result.

Hi Everyone,

Here are some photos of my latest Basket Case aquisition. I am posting them as I am curious if anyone knows the bike! Obviously it has seen some "action" and I don't know the history. There are some mods I haven't seen before, ie the frame has been extended under the motor, not sure why? Also custom made seat and base. Magneto cover is not the same as my other A models!
