Hi Daid,
Nice photos of some nice bikes Dave.
Good to see Mac made it...I am double bummed I missed this one as I didn't make classic dirt 7.
How did the QLD ers go score wise?

I'd rather be a D grade participant than an A grade spectator....

Hey Mark, Mac and I each represented the glorious maroon state well in our own little way.
Mac finished third in C grade and I was happy to finish in fourth place in B Grade behind three youngsters. One of the youngsters in particular was quite spectacular to watch. No-one told him that a standard TL125 wasn't capable of doing amazing things, so he just did them anyway  . Very good stuff. Poor kid didn't actually have a proper name though; people just called him JJ and I'm told he can ride modern bikes well too. 8)
We weren't the only interstate riders. Geoff and Bernadette Lewis came up from Victoria and both rode CZs that would have had you drooling. You would have had a ball.
The sections were terrific and the socialising was even better than last November.
One thing I noticed that was quite different this time is that it is now B grade that is the hotly contested class (instead of C grade). There were over 30 riders in total. The biggest rider group was B grade. Clubman was probably the second biggest. I think C grade had 7 starters and 5 finishers and I think pre-70 had 3 riders. A grade had 2.
There were only four Bultacos but there semed to be Hondas everywhere - almost as many Hondas as Yamahas - nah hang on - not really that many Hondas but there did seem to be a lot. Lets see - two TL125s, three TLRs, a TLM50 and a TL250.
I don't remember anyones scores but they might get posted up at some stage.
David

What a great weekend thanks so much the Denman crew, my only regret is I hadn't done it sooner.
The old Bike didn't miss a beat and even the body held up pretty well, I'll be back too much fun to miss out on.

Thankyou to our club members that made the Deman 2-Day event possible.

Also thankyou to those riders that travelled to attend the event from other states. I only rode Sunday and it was a great day.

Thanks again,
Brian Thompson

On behalf of the Queenslanders thanks Brian the hardest part was setting the clocks forward 10 years as we crossed the border into NSW

Thank David,
As you may have noticed ,the hardest thing I had was trying to stop my Italjet from running into the back of your Yamaha. Closely followed by keeping it upright.
Thanks again

G'day David,
It's actually 30 years plus and what amuses me is, I'm now riding a bike that I would have considered ancient back then.
