As a former Moto Cross rider I struggle from time to time with flash-backs to the good old days.
I just had to put a small set of doubles in my trials section, sorry
Will post more pics with variations on the sections later

Also I like your idea of holding the bundles of sleepers together with garden hose, does this allow them to move when you ride them? Always disconcerting when things move, makes it interesting........"
Hi the garden hose allows some movement but basically stops the whole shooting match from coming apart...... If it's stacked right it won't move, the taller pile moves a lot but trying to get it to stay still while you wheelie over it is the challenge.

Hey Steve,
Those doubles are subtle [i don't remember them being obvious at all] and look like fun.....
Hi Greg, yes I'm the one on the SWM.
Does that obstacle of yours sway as you ride on it....and yes having stuff move under you helps balance etc.

The doubles have eroded & compacted over the years, plus with grass growing over them they are easily not noticed.
They really need re-shaping

Here's some more
Check "The Ramp" in the background, it is a serious ride in reverse

"The Steps" in reverse, have to be ridden dead slow as the down side is steep enough that sometimes the bike rolls out on the front-wheel-only for a foot or two. This tends to baulk me, I should ride it more often until I feel confident

Ok, "The Ramp" reversed
Check the amount of contact the rear tyre makes with the ramp, not much chance of wheel spin
