SAMMY MILLER HI-BOY TL125

Postby mrgor » Sun Oct 21, 2012 2:59 pm

Hello,
My son has just purchased a TL125 which is fitted with a Sammy Miller "Hi Boy " frame.
Frame Number is 205.
Bike has been in storage for many years and was in a very sad state when picked up.
Spent a day with lots of de-greaser and a hi-pressure cleaner to get it to current state.
Going to completely dismantle and rebuild. Frame has some minor pitting but should clean up OK.
We are not sure of the front forks and crowns.
Have nothing to compare with but they do not look original. Tubes are 31mm Diam and Extended Length from the top of the fork tube to the axle centre is 82 cm.
Any comments on the bike will be much appreciated---
Thank You Peter and Ron Spencer

http://www.onlytrial.com/1/from_1975_to_80_120291.html might be helpfull.

Took some scans from a SMcatalogue(around 1975) but this site could not handle filesize,,
But the bike looks very original acording to the booklet.

Nice one!
