Big difference in entry fees to Open trials.
Queensland Championship is a two day event and has set an entry fee of $50 for open solos. Compare this with Round 3 of the NSW Championships at Pacific Park, a one day event entry fee for Open solos is $68 !!!!

Re: Open entry fees.
that explains it!
In Queensland we have ' sunshine state ' or ' smart state ' on our number plates.
In Victoria they have ' on the move ' but they forgot to add
' to Queensland '

Re: Open entry fees.
Coming from Mountain Biking these prices seem cheap. The Epic is a 100k race point to point and costs $110 for Elite and $99 for recreational riders.
The Noosa Enduro is $90 and these things are festivals of pain.

Re: Open entry fees.
Nipper,
I was the Clerk of Course at Rd.2 of NSW Moto-Trials C/ships last month.
The event was run by Wollongong MCC at their Mt.Kembla complex.
We charged $50 for Seniors & $30 for Juniors.
Pacific Park is a Trials Paradise, but is privately owned so any club that runs an event there
must pay a fee for each & every rider. At Wollongong we are lucky as we own the Mt.Kembla complex.
Motorcycling NSW also likes to take almost $14.00 in levies for Senior riders & about $10.00 for each Junior, let alone what they charge for a permit.
Maybe Motorcycling Qld is nicer to Trials riders than their mates down south.
Being involved in Trials for over 30 years now I don't know of any clubs that go out & run a Trial to try & make a profit. They are just making sure that costs are covered.
I Road Raced for several years in my youth (well 20 years ago anyway) & Moto-Trials is still the cheapest form of Motorcycle Sport in Australia.
Just hope Qld don't catch up with the entry fees too soon.
Keep ya feet up.
