Hi all. I’m looking for a front fork tube or a pair for my montesa cota 248. Stem condition doesn’t matter. It’s the bottom section I am after. Where the old sits.

Hey Steve, is the 248 from around 1981? If so it probably shares the same forks as the 349 (51M) from that era.
This bloke Dave Snyder in the US has lots of NOS and currently has a left bottom fork leg for a 349, can't see a right but if you contact him he will search his stock, he is excellent to deal with.

Hi Steve,
I've had a couple of Cota 348's over the years.
Whats the issue with your old lower legs?
I'm thinking they are the square type like the 348 had.
I had a big off at the 1979 Aussie C/ships in Canberra and dented the lower leg that bad it locked the fork solid :x
On the first lap of the first day :x
We where able to eventually get the leg apart (well after I'd DNF'd the event) & we had the dent machined out so the fork would work again.
Is that your issue?
Also 248 or 348 Trial had the same fork legs me thinks, so that may expand your searching ability.

Cheers,
Gary.
