Hi guys,

I hope this is OK to post on here, Admin, please contact me if it isn't.

I am an event organizer for 4wd rock crawling and we've got an event coming up on the weekend of February 28th that would be well and truly suitable for you lads to have a play around on.

We hold what is essentially trials runs for buggies and 4wd's they pass through gates and +/- points accordingly.

We would be interested in opening up the down time of the event (held over two days) to Trials riders who would like to come out to have a social ride and enjoy some new terrain.

We get moments where there isn't a buggy on the course and a few bikes could jump in and have a play. The site has full public liability insurance which would cover you for social riding, if you wanted to hold a mini comp, you'd need to talk to MA or a governing body to get event coverage (our 4wd event coverage won't cover you).

The site is at Merriwa, which is about 1.5hrs from Newcastle and 2 hours from Dubbo.

I'd be prepared to let you into the site for a minimal fee, all I need to cover costs is $20 per person per day, which gets 100% kicked back to the land owners. This site is also available for hire year round and I can introduce any interested riders to the land owners. There are beautiful new amenities (including hot water) and a swimming hole right next to the rocks and the camping area.

If you are interested, please feel free to give me a call on 0432 044 401 or email us at info@werock.com.au

I've been to the Rock Crawling at Milbrodale and it's the closest thing to MotoTrials on 4 wheels. I may be interested on the Sunday for a ride.

Cheers guys,

Spread the word and we'll make a good thing out of it. We currently hold events across the east coast and are open to running events in WA if we get the numbers/sponsors...

Paul, I've replies to your email, I'll try and call you tomorrow.

regards

Dave

Hi Everyone
I spoke to Dave from We Rock at length the other day, and it would be really great if we could all support his event. The property looks amazing, and I think we can work in well to help the organisers to have a fantastic weekend.
There is no riding on Friday but the Crawler Teams will be arriving and setting up.
Apparently there is plenty of good camping areas, and Dave said there will be food available to purchase across the weekend, and in the evenings.
Fees are $20 per rider, which goes to the land owner.
Riding is both Saturday and Sunday (one or both days)
The organisers would like us to participate and fill any "gaps" in their proceedings, and enjoy the fantastic location of rocks, and rocks and more rocks - right up our alley!
Basically just turn up and enjoy some good company, some amazing rock crawler action, and ride some amazing sections.

I'll post some more info on the front page soon with maps and other relevant info.

If anyone has a minute, check out the photo gallery on the WeRock website and be inspired to go - it's looks fantastic:

Cheers mate,

I'd love to see the bikes ride some of the lines that the buggies cannot.

There is a rock slope in one of those images to the right hand side of the blue Hilux that none of the buggies have made it up yet - I set that out as the challenge for the bikes... It's about 14ft high and an 80 degree slope.
