Ossa tr280 cylinder head o-ring install

Postby markil » Thu Jun 09, 2016 12:11 pm

Hi guys,
Just received my new head and o-rings for my ossa. The inner o-ring fits into the groove in the head nicely but the outer one is a bit too big. Looking for some advice on how to install it?

The old one that I removed is the same size. Also can I use a bit of grease to hold the o-rings in place on the head while I install it? Or is there some other trick to it?

Cheers, Mark.

depends how oversized it is. Might be the wrong one. double check the part numbers.
high temp bearing grease can be used sparingly to keep it in the grooves. You can also freeze the oring to make it slightly smaller. .let it return to room temp before torque-ing down the bolts

The old o ring is the same size so I believe it is the right part...

I had similar thoughts, I put the o ring in the freezer a couple of days ago, but haven't had a chance to try it again yet. Hopefully it'll shrink enough to get it together
