As above, can I reverse my X-11 to take advantage of the sharp knobs on the other side which would be contrary to the directional arrow on the tyre ? What are the consequences please ?

Thanks David, that's what I was hoping to hear. Seems such a waste otherwise.

Hi Rod, if you have a good look at the tread pattern of the Michies they are non directional. It's the same either way. Lots of upper grade guys turn them to wear the reverse side of the knobs and then replace the tyre.

Thanks for the replies, if it's good for the Red line riders it will be sweet for blue line me.
I was just curious if I should adhere to the directional arrow on the left side of the tyre as it's the 1st time I've had to consider reversing a tyre since I started riding Trials again in 2014, goes to show how little I get out on it.
In hindsight that directional arrow might be intended for those that use these tyres at speed, do the speedway riders still use our Trials tyres as I'm sure they often did back in the '90's ?
Cheers.

Not so much the Speedway people these days Rod but most of the Dirt Track/Short Circuit people use Trials tyres now. The Michelins seem to be the best ones for that too! The Vee Rubber ones seem to be quite popular as well. I always turn mine around too with no ill effects. Graham.

Speedway tyres are a control tyre and are 19". Way back before the 70's they used to use a 21" rear tyre and still do on Longtrack.
