Beta 50cc help

Postby xyeovillian » Thu Dec 22, 2005 1:46 pm

We have just acquired a Beta 50cc it was not running very good have just replaced the crankcase seals its a bit better now. We were told its a 2002 model the one with drum brakes centrifugal clutch contacted John Lampkin & David Ryan they both said that these little bikes don't tick over at low revs, has anyone any knowledge of this model. As my grandson will have a bit of a job riding it after his QR50. Also what premix to use as the exhaust is very oily after repacking the silencer would like to know oil measurements ie primary clutch side etc.

Beta Rev 50

Postby KTMSprocket » Fri Dec 23, 2005 10:24 am

We just purchased a Beta Rev 50 ('03) in sound condition. I have quite a bit of expereince with the KTM 50's and will start learning about these little Betas over Xmas etc. Let's swap info here as we learn....???

My first job will be to drill the rivets in the silencer, remove the old packing and replace it. Keeps it quiet and runs properly!!!!

Once I've done it, I'll post my conclusions here. Cheers.
