wheel grease nipples

Postby gordonmichaellee » Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:04 am

you will need
a drill, 2 grease nipples a grease gun ( flexi hose is best)
and a tap and die set
this is great for keeping dirt out of your hubs because it is alway pushing grease outward.
Step 1
it is easiet when the wheel is disassembled spokes and all
step2
remove the axle and bearings
step 3
get the small type 60 degree bend grease nipples
step4
drill a hole in the centre of the hub
step5
tap the hole to allow for the grease nipples to be fitted
step 6
clean out he inside of the hub realy well, to get rid of all the swath ( metal bits from drilling)
step 6
refit the axle and bearings
step 7
fill with grease
step 8
wipe off what comes out the sides
step 9
rebuild the wheel ( see wheel building)

if I can be of further assistance just holler
