Handle bar risers for ty

Postby rodger » Sun Nov 23, 2008 5:01 am

Hi , can anybody tell me if there are handlebar risers for a 85 ty350 out there. I ride enduro bikes and am new to trials and I feel that I'm leaning over the bars too far. Thanks Rodger

A useful mod for all the air-cooled monoshock Yamaha TY models is to lower the footpegs. This will make the ergos much nicer and improve your stationary balance.

Youll find lots of useful info in these two forums about your bike

Thanks Dave, funny thing I am taking the ty to my neighbours place next week to remove the old pegs and putting a extra set from my ktm on it. I'll lower them 1.5 to 2 inches, I hope this dosn't get me stuck on logs. Thanks again Rodger

Rodger,
If the TY still has the std low bars try some taller Renthals.
You can now also buy bar risers to go 7/8" bar to 7/8" bar or 7/8" bar to 1" 1/8" (Fat Bar).
Most reasonable bike shops would keep these.
If not tell them to look in the MCS book or try Ballards website.

Hope this helps 8)

The Hell Team stock 7/8th to 1 inch converters that also raise the bars. And a selection of Renthal 7/8th bars in 5.5 inch and 6.5 inch rise, and new style inch tapered bars.
Give us a call.

We can crate and freight bikes Australia wide for very reasonable rates. Ring or email with your location for freight quote.
