No it won't fit your TY175 cases or your DT/MX175 head without modification. The IT175 and 1977 and later DT175 have 4 cylinder nuts to hold tha barrell to the crankcase, and 6 short studs in the top of the barrel to hold on the head (same arrangement as TY250)
The TY175 and DT/MX175 have 4 long studs that go right through the barrell from the crankcases to the head.
The barrel could be used on your TY175 but would require machine shop work as would your DT/MX head.

Hi Steve
No the arrangement of the cylinder studs is quite different. The TY175 is a square pattern and the post 1977 DT175 and IT175 is a rectangle pattern. They did this to allow a wider reed case to be used, which was a performance limitation with the earlier design for the YZ125A,B,C,X which used the same stud arrangement as the TY175.
Some people do use the later DT175 or IT175 barrel on TY175 cases, but the barrell needs to be drilled right through in the square pattern.
I hope you know that the late model DT and IT motor fits straight into the TY. One of my TY175s is like that (has a late model DT175 motor but with a TY175 flywheel and ignition) and it goes great - in fact it is probably better than the TY motor because it has a better gearshift arrangement. I haven't tried an IT175 barrell on it though.
