Help with TLR to get running.

Postby gordonmichaellee » Tue Mar 02, 2010 5:24 pm

Been without a trials bike for 1 year now but couldn'tgo on. Bought a TLR250 for $200. Needs a bit of work, but not too much hopefully.

Its in pretty good usable condition aside from the fact that it doesn't run. It has been stood for 3 years, it fires but won't tick over, even with new fuel.

I was thinking, new coil, lead and spark plug aswell as clean out the carby.

Also the clutch is locked on but thats an easy fix.

Anything else anyone would recomend. ( new oil obviously )

Cheers Gordo'

Gday, Check the valve clearances. 2 thou if memory serves...just enough to feel clearance will do.

Cheers,

Stork
