Re: 2 stroke oil
That's exactly what I've been using in my TY250 since 2006, at a 50-1 ratio. It also goes in my Stihl chainsaws and strimmer. All are running well with no signs of wear or excess smoke...

We maily use Motul 510 on out Ty's. Go to Sportcycles (bikecare) and ask for Andy, he rides and Denman and will give you what you need. They are located at Whitebridge

Your Honda Cota is liquid cooled so it does not see such a wide operating temperature range as with an air-cooled motor, so does not require as much oil in the fuel as an air-cooled trials bike does. TTS is a good choice if you run the motor up to operating temperature at least once a month. There are better oils for preventing bearing corrosion during long term non-use.

Re: 2 stroke oil
Can anybody tell me the difference ( or benifit ) between oil with Castor oïl in 2s oïl? I normaly use ``Koltz Original TechniPlate `` oil 50 to 1 in my TY TS but the last time I went to buy some, I bought `` Klotz Super Techniplate With 20% Castor Oil `` by mistake. I have heard about Castor oil for a long time, but, I realy don`t know much about it.

Re: 2 stroke oil
I use castor oils(Castrol A747 and Maxima 927) in my methonol burning dirt track bikes so I did experiment with castor oils in my trials bike and found a significant loss in throttle response. Not going there again I found the best results from 100% synthetic oils.
Just my 2 cents worth.....or was that 1 cent???!!!

Re: 2 stroke oil
Castor oil has very good lube properties at high temperature, but the rate of carbon buildup in the combustion zone is very high, so requires frequent removal, and it is very tenacious (I'm talking power tools to get it off). Not just on the piston crown, head and exhaust port, but it also forms in the ring grooves, which jams up the rings. It might be OK in road racing where motors get pulled apart for new rings and pistons very frequently, but on a trials bike, it would have to be the last oil most people would choose to use. I say most people, because some people enjoy working on their bike motor.
