Postby zak » Wed Nov 05, 2014 11:04 pm

Just starting out on restoring a 74 Ossa Explorer. Plan to get the engine re-built. Any feedback appreciated on dealer / shop that has high end Ossa motor experience that can do it well. Melbourne area preferred buy anywhere in OZ os better thyan shipping it OS.

Suggest you contact Tricub on this forum if you want an OSSA engine fixed. He has successfully done quite a few 1970s OSSA motor rebuilds and is located in Brisbane.
As for buying motor parts I have had good success buying from OSSA specialist Keith Lynas http://www.ossaplanet.com/
And there is a great webpage with lots of contacts for 1960 and 1970s OSSAs run by Mats Nyberg - I suggest you google this one because I couldn't get the page to open today
In Motion also sells some OSSA parts https://www.inmotiontrials.com/product- ... hock/ossa/

Hello,
Some Ossa contacts for you.
Nigel Munday Automotive of Burnie Tasmania. Phone 03 6432 1014, has a collection of Ossa's of various models.
Very experienced with these bikes and engines.
Also, Nigel is an active Trials Competitor.
All of the genuine Ossa Parts stock from Milledge (Sport and Road) who were the Ossa Australian Importer, was purchased many years ago by Bruce Rennie of Melbourne. Phone 03 9584 1642.
Call Bruce in the evenings as he has a day job.
Another useful contact is Steve Eastham of Melbourne. Phone 03 9736 1959.
Steve specialises in Fibreglass and has many Ossa Moulds---Mudguards, Air Boxes, Seats, Fuel Tanks etc.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I have quite a lot of Ossa Explorer & MAR parts. I have spare Explorer frames & tanks, flywheels, gearbox parts, some barrels (possibly need re-boring) & heads, exhaust parts (no rear silencer which I would like to get one myself - swap for parts if anyone has one). Some fork legs as well.
I am on Northside of Brisbane.

Chippy
