Hi
Attached are a few pics of the TY 175 restoration that I completed today. I would just like to say thanks to those who assisted with advice along the way and also acknowledge how useful this forum is to communicate.
Thanks again to Hagsta for the historic info which places this bike as a 1980 model.
Well the bike is now looking sharp and will no doubt outshine the rider at the MTCQ's Inaugural "TY CHALLENGE" Trial this weekend (12 July at Undullah QLD).
Please add pics of your entry to the TY Challenge or much loved TY to showcase the "Australian Yamaha TY Collection".
Cheers
Gary

Hagsta provided the article below on the TY 175. Of particular interest is the identification of year models from the serial number.

Hey Guys,
here's some pics of my 5 year TY restoration... Actually it was post divorce therapy so I didn't have anyone watching what I spent, I just didn't have any money!

Mate, it was worth the effort. Very very nice. Where did you get the seat/cover from?
