Hello to you and your wife,

This website contains much information about the trials scene in Australia. The trials season is nearly finished now except for some demostrations, but will resume again early next year. You will see that sidecars are a small, but enthusiatic group here in Australia. I'm sure there may be a contributor who can contact you on matters of sidecar trials here. SA has it's annual Sidecar Cup, which generally sees 10 or more sidecars competing.
Salutations distinguées,
Greg

Life is a trial.

Good evening to you.
Thank you for your responses.

In France, we have a championship which brings together some thirty coupling with 4 games, plus several demos and a training every two days, winter and summer. For Europe, there Euocup with the participation of English, German, Belgian, Netherlands and of course French. We also participate in various national championships at our neighbors. So much for the sidecar by us. I'm curious to know if the rest of the world if there is a growing sidecar of trial. In Canada, the answer was negative. Thanks to internet, I saw as it existed at home.
The sidecar of trial is a passion for me and my wife, we thank you again for your home and feel free to ask us questions, we will reply with pleasure.
Best regards.

I apologize for my very bad English.

Hi Bou
Dont worry about your English....its better than our French....

Loved your website...its good to see sidecars are alive and well in France. I figured as much when I found Marcounets site on youtube which gave us some insights into sidecar construction over there

http://www.youtube.com/marcounet10

Sidecars have seen an explosion in interest here thanks to the efforts of Mal Loone in Victoria and the Greenhalgh family over here in South Australia. As a result there will be a bunch of new teams making their debut next season.

Hi Gasgasman.
Here are some pictures of Gasgas. As plans and ribs, if you want something else, do not hesitate. The GasGas blue, titanium basket, less than 10 kg, but titanium is hard, very hard and difficult to train. This gives a sidecar very light and rises ahead as easily. I could give you more information after the weekend because we have a meeting Saturday night (a good meal).
See you soon for other new's.

G'day from Australia

You and your wife look like you are having great fun on your sidecar.

I rode a TY250 Yamaha modified to 360 with specs from Mick Andrews and homemade sidecar back in the '70s. I still have it now. I drag it out of the shed a couple of times per year for fun with the family. I am attaching a couple of recent photos of me and my grandson having fun.

I am too old to compete either solo or sidecar, and stopped competing 25 years ago.I rode on Mick Andrews' Yamaha team in the 1975 Scottish 6 Days Trial and competed in Australia on solo for 20 years. I can understand why you enjoy sidecars as they are very difficult and great fun.

What area of France do you live in, as I have been lucky enough to visit a couple of times.

Cheers, Peter Paice

Hello Peter.
We live near Paris (east), not far from Euro-Disney. :(
We are fortunate to have a field trial in Fontainebleau Forest.
Very nice sidecar in the English style =D> , ours are different.
Thank you for your welcome and goodbye.
Pierre & Dominique
