Hi folks,
Today I'm heading off with the family for three months. Not taking computer .
Rough plan shown below. Haven't quite worked out how we're coming back from Cairns to Melbourne just yet.
Peter Arnold (PA) is looking after the TA site while I'm gone, so be good and don't cause him too much grief.
See you in July!

Re: Keith away until July
Enjoy your holiday Keith,
If you are cruising through the Barossa, stop in and say hi and we can take you to a couple of good wineries.
Nothing better than a nice red whilst watching the sunset on the Great Aussie Bight, or at Uluru!
Cheers

I'm back!
Back to freezing Melbourne weather
Firstly let me say a huge thankyou to Peter Arnold (PA) for tirelessly looking after the website while I was away. It was fantastic to be able to go away knowing everything was in great hands.
Thanks PA!
Cape York was beautiful. Stunning scenery, great weather, pity about the crocs.
Old Telegraph Track was great fun, as the pics below of Gunbarrel Ck crossing show:
Other highlights were the Finke Gorge NP (Boggy Hole) track near Alice Springs, Vrilya Point on Cape York Peninsula, the CREB track near Cooktown, Lorella Springs near Borrololla on the gulf, Darwin city (awesome place, I'd move there in a second if the house prices weren't astronomical), plus many more.
Where we went, from the GPS: (started in Melbourne, went clockwise)

Nice one Keith and welcome back.
Did you walk that section before testing your approach angle? I guess the photo taker must've paddled through.
Cheers,
G
