SQTA Invitational

Postby David Lahey » Fri Sep 17, 2010 10:58 pm

Thanks Ian it is great to hear that Chris Lyon is competing again.
I remember quite well watching Chris ride a Cota 172 in B Grade in the mid 1970s and being an impressionable young man at the time, I also remember that his sister used to attend trials competitions.
Chris if you read this, do you remember a Ducati road bike nut called Jeff McIntyre who lived in your street at Tarragindi? I worked with Jeff at Queensland Alumina in the late 1990s and still see him from time to time around town.

Yes David, we are starting to pull a few interesting names out of the woodwork now aren't we? What was the movie with the line in it that said, "if you build it they will come"? Field of Dreams wasn't it? Thanks Frank! Perhaps that could be our new moto?
It's also pretty obvious by Chris' score that he has been getting in plenty of sneaky practise over the past years as well. Destined for a Division 2 spot next time he joins us me thinks!
Regards
Ian

I'm sure that that Saying Build it and they will come is actually from the Field of Dreams
