DT 175 1978 front fork diameter

Hi does anyone know what the diameter is on the front forks of a DT175 1978 model is? i am chasing some front forks to put on a TY175 1975 model and can possibly get a pair of DT forks in good condition? Ian

Ian, early DT175 (A,B,C,D) fork tubes are 30mm which is same as TY175.
The E model (nominally 1978) had forks that had different sliders to the DT175 A,B,C,D models (but still in-line axle sliders) and had 30mm tubes.
DT175 F,G and later models have 32mm tubes with leading axle sliders.
The DT175E model forks have about an inch less travel than TY175 forks. If you look back in the Twinshock forum there should be a posting on this subject with photos showing the internal differences between DT175E and TY175 forks.

If you search using "DT175" it is called something like "TY175 with DT175 forks and odd front wheel"
